A former Funk Brother, Coffey has played guitar on over 100 soul music gold records for Motown Records with artists such as The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, and The Four Tops. Coffey has recorded with Quincy Jones, Marvin Gaye, Martha Reeves, Ringo Starr and George Clinton. He has also played on many Northern Soul records at Golden World Studios.
