Detroit Music Factory artist, Scott Gwinnell, is a leader and sideman in many different groups in the Metro-Detroit area. He has played, recorded, or toured with the following artists: Aretha Franklin, Joe Lovano, Dave Liebman, Steve Turre, John Clayton, Vanessa Williams, and vocal legend Jon Hendricks, for whom Gwinnell was music director for 3 years. He also leads an award-winning 16-piece big band that has released 3 recordings. When not playing music, Gwinnell teaches and writes it. He is on faculty at Oakland University, and is director of Vocal Jazz Ed. at Music Hall Center for Performing Arts.
